What is MyHealthRecord?
MyHealthRecord offers patients personalized and secure online access to portions of their medical records. It enables you to securely view information about your health. With MyHealthRecord, you can view: -
- Reason for hospitalization
- Care team
- Procedures performed during admission
- Current and past problem list
- Current medication list and medication history
- Current medication allergy list and medication allergy history
- Vital signs at discharge
- Laboratory test results
- Summary of care
- Care plan
- Discharge instructions
- Is there a fee to use MyHealthRecord ?

My MyHealthRecord is a free service offered to our patients.
- How do I sign up?

Patients who wish to participate will be issued a MyHealthRecord invitation during their clinic or hospital visit. This invitation will enable you to login and create your own user ID and password. You will be asked to provide your email address to complete this process. A valid picture ID is required to verify your identity.
- How do I claim my invitation?

An invitation will be sent to the email address you gave during sign up. Once you have received the email, follow the directions on the screen. The step-by-step process will allow you verify your identity by answering a challenge question and entering your date of birth. You will then be guided through the process to build your own username and password.
- When can I see my test results in MyHealthRecord?

Your test results will be viewable in the patient portal immediately after the results are put into your health record. The following test results are currently not available to view in MyHealthRecord: Tests indicating sexually transmitted diseases, HIV, Hepatitis Serologies, Pregnancy Test, and tumor markers.
- Why are certain test results not shared electronically via MyHealthRecord?

Tests of a very sensitive nature are not released to MyHealthRecord.
- If some of my information on MyHealthRecord is not correct, what should I do?

If you think anything in your health record needs to be corrected, please call 1-800-324-8163 to place your request.
- Can I enter my own personal health information in the MyHealthRecord?

Yes. Under Account Settings, select "change settings with Cerner Health," and select the Health Record tab to add your personal information. This information is for your own reference and will not be part of your hospital medical record. You may share this self-entered information by selecting "Share This Record." To return to MyHealthRecord, click on "Return to MyHealthRecord."
- Can I view a family member's health record in MyHealthRecord?

- Can my spouse and I share one MyHealthRecord account?

You and your spouse will have separate accounts in MyHealthRecord.
- I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page to reset your password online. You may also call 1-800-324-8163 to request a new, secure password.
- Is MyHealthRecord secure?

We take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure invitation process, personal IDs and passwords. Each person controls their password, and the account cannot be accessed without that password. Furthermore, MyHealthRecord uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to automatically encrypt your session with MyHealthRecord.
- What is your Privacy Policy?

MyHealthRecord is owned and operated by Mercy Health Network- North Iowa and Cerner Corporation. It is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. Your name and e-mail address will be treated with the same care and privacy given your health records and will never be sold or leased by MyHealthRecord.
- I was logged out of MyHealthRecord, what happened?

We aim to protect your privacy and security of your information. While logged into MyHealthRecord, if your keyboard remains idle for 20 minutes or more, you will be automatically logged out of MyHealthRecord. We recommend that you log out of your MyHealthRecord session if you need to leave your computer for even a short period of time.
- What do I need to use MyHealthRecord?

You need access to a computer connected to the Internet and an up-to-date browser (such as Internet Explorer).
- What type of apps can I link my health record to?

The applications listed below are already connected to our health record. Please check back here as applications are added regularly.
- Apple Health Records (Coming Soon)
These mobile apps give you the ability to view some of your medical records (or someone else’s records, where you have proxy rights) on a smartphone or tablet.
- How do I connect my medical record with an app?

To access your record online (or someone else’s where you have proxy rights) you need a patient portal account that is linked to Mercy Health. If you do not have access, please sign up by creating an account.
