Cafeteria

Visitor dining is available in the Hancock County Memorial Hospital's Cafeteria, which is located on the first floor. Hot meals are served in the cafeteria at the following times:

• Breakfast, 8:00 – 10:00 a.m., Monday – Friday
• Lunch, 11:45 – 1:00 p.m., Sunday - Saturday
• Dinner, As requested. Please notify the cafeteria by 4:30 p.m. if you are planning on staying for an evening meal.

Snack Shack/Vending Machines


The Snack Shack, located in the cafeteria, has a selection of self-serve food, candy and beverage items and is available for purchase from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., or after hours by request to nursing station (call: 641-843-5200). The Snack Shack offers a variety of options of food, beverages, coffee and cappuccino, pastries, bars, chips and microwaveable snacks.

Inpatient Food Service


Your diet, like your medication, tests and treatment, is prescribed by your physician. If you would like to speak to a Registered Dietitian or the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services about your meals, please ask your nurse to arrange a visit. Your suggestions and comments are cordially invited by our dietary department.

Guest Trays


A guest tray can be delivered to a patient room by notifying the cafeteria or nurse by 10:30 a.m. for lunch and by 4:30 p.m. for supper. Each delivered meal will cost $7.15, payment is due prior to, or at, tray delivery. Another option is to purchase items ala carte from the cafeteria, prices will vary.
